Russia’s Persecution of Christians in Ukraine: the Tsarist Era to the Soviet regime and to Today 

The conference “The 1946 Pseudo-Sobor: 80 Years Later — The Persecution Continues” brought together over 100 participants to reflect on the legacy of the 1946 Lviv Pseudo-Sobor and to show how patterns of religious persecution continue in Russian-occupied Ukraine today. It presented this history not as a closed chapter of the past, but as a living reality that still demands truth, attention, and moral response.

ISEC Co-Director to be Honored by the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America

Dr. Robin Darling-Young—co-director of ISEC and Ordinary Professor Emerita of the History of Christianity at CUA—will be honored by the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America as a “Friend of Armenians.” The recognition will take place during the 124th Diocesan Assembly, to be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Robin Darling Young is Ordinary Professor, ISEC Co-Director to be Honored by the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America
